express entry Information

Express Entry is a system used by the Canadian government to manage applications for permanent residence under certain economic immigration programs, such as the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class. It was introduced in 2015 as a way to streamline the application process and reduce processing times for these programs.

To be eligible to apply through Express Entry, individuals must first create an online profile and provide information about their skills, work experience, language abilities, and education. Based on this information, they will be assigned a score under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which is used to rank candidates against others in the pool.

Periodically, the Canadian government holds draws and invites the highest-ranking candidates in the pool to apply for permanent residence. Once an individual is invited, they will have 90 days to submit a complete application, including all required documents and fees.

It’s important to note that Express Entry is not a program by itself but a system that manages the application process for specific programs. Eligibility for each program is determined by a set of criteria such as work experience, education, language proficiency and other factors. Therefore, it’s important to check and see if you are eligible for any of the programs that are managed by the Express Entry system before creating a profile.

It’s also worth noting that the express entry system is very competitive and the number of invitations for each draw is limited, therefore the higher the CRS score the better the chances of being invited. Therefore, it is advisable to ensure that all the information provided in the profile is accurate and complete, and that the supporting documents are relevant to the specific program.
